Crayons are NOT the best babysitters

I didn't catch Marian in the act...but this picture is probably a pretty accurate representation of what happened this morning. I've been a mom for nearly 4 years...you'd think I would know better. Apparently not.

Here are the 5 things I learned before 8:30 this morning

#1 There is officially nothing (that I am aware of) that occupies my daughter that is not:
a) destructive
b) dangerous
c) chocolate chips

#2
Leaving a 20 month old alone with crayons, even just for a few minutes, is not a good idea...no matter how desperate you are for her to do something other than cry for you to hold her.

#3 Cleaner and a rag is not a very effective way to remove crayon from wood floors and doors

#4 Cleaner and a toothbrush is! Maybe I should adopt more army punishment techniques into my parenting style.

#5 Marian is very very lucky that she is so darn cute!
