Friday Family Fun Night Update

Chad and the Enghs (his sisters family) are at the Red Sox Game tonight (Go Sox!) so I'm going to take the opportunity and catch up on some pictures.

Friday Family Fun Night has been a huge success. I call it a success because it has actually happened EVERY week. And let me tell you, if I can habitually do something good on a weekly basis- that is a success regardless of what we act.

So, without further ado...here's what we've done!

Castle Island
(with Kate)

Before you get distracted by the beautiful background of sailboats
in the Boston Harbor...Check out the new wheels
(I mean me, not Jack...he has LONG outgrown that little motorcycle- but he loves it)
Phil and Ted have been a welcome addition to our family- seriously a great stroller for our family.

A close up...just in case you were craving one.

Castle Island is the perfect place to...
Zoom around on a trike

Watch airplanes land at the airport

And watch the ginormous barges come in and out of the harbor.

City Bus
For the next FFFN I let Jack choose our activity. All week he told anyone who would listen what he had planned.

He chose to have these kids

Ride one of these
Five Stops

To go to a Bakery...to get these
Directions for making cookie: 9-parts frosting, 1-part cookie

except for the part where Marian squirted lotion into her eyes, it wasn't so bad riding the bus with all three kids.

This little Angel slept the entire time.

A highlight of the trip for me was seeing the Sister Missionaries from our church! We always seem to run into them on the bus. Talking with them felt a little like home. Good choice Jack.

Strawberry Picking/Eating
Jack was a pro- although he was convinced that the little white strawberries were the sweetest and couldn't be convinced otherwise.

Marian started off great.

But then a not-so-little "accident" required that we borrow shorts and some Batman underwear from my friend's little boy. (Way to go Bryson's mom for having back up clothes in her car) Marian was surprisingly thrilled with the Batman option as opposed to her usual Disney Princess "girls" as she calls them).

This reminds me, I should make an entire post about how miraculous it is that Marian has literally potty trained herself and shame on me for not mentioning it before now...the 1 time it didn't work out so well. But in case I don't get to it...seriously, It is amazing. Way to go Marian! In an effort to put a good spin on Marian's incredibly strong will and independent nature I always say that it will be a great attribute and strength for her in the future...whatever- it's great now!
