This "lovely" self portrait was taken mid-April, the day before Chad found out that he got the job in Utah. This picture was the exact day I found out I was going to have another baby! I could not wipe the smile off my face. As nervous as I was about having 4 kids, I was absolutely giddy.
This lovely picture below was taken a little over a week ago at my Dr.'s office.
I know that most people aren't experts at reading an ultrasound so let me help you out a little. On the left is a cute healthy little baby. On the right is ANOTHER cute healthy little baby. That's right. TWINS!!! I couldn't stop laughing when we saw it on the ultrasound. Chad kept saying, "oh my gosh, oh my gosh..." and had to sit down for a few minutes. When I finally stopped laughing the first things I said were
1. Chad! I told you it was twins!
(to be fair I think it is twins every time I am pregnant)
2. My mom is going to die!
(In one week, my faithful mom, dad and brother Robby are headed to Perth, Australia for three years!!! (insert desperate sob here) because they willingly accepted a call to serve as missionaries for our church. More on that later.)
My due date is January 1st so we expect the babies to arrive early to mid-December.
Jack is thrilled and is hoping for two boys. Marian plans on taking care of two new baby sisters and Lucy at first just made a grumpy face and said, "NO BABIES!" But now she babbles happily about babies all the time. We made an offer on a house the day we found out we were having twins and it was accepted! So assuming all goes well we will move into our home mid-July. So many blessings we can't quite take it all in.
