(excuse all the blurry iPhone pictures...that's right I have joined all of modern America and finally got a smart phone)
Marian and I had THE BEST time putting together this poster. It was so fun to talk to Marian about what she was like when she was a baby and a little toddler.
It brought back such great memories for me and so obviously made Marian feel SO loved! The impact it had on her made me realize how important it is to keep a record of my children's childhood.
Lucy fell asleep in my lap while Marian and I were typing up Marian's list of "Things I Love".. If I am ever sitting down there is a good chance Lucy will be right in my lap.
The 2nd thing that has convinced me to get back into blogging is Jack. He checks this blog regularly and LOVES to look back and read about things we did and look at pictures from Boston. If he were the only reader of this blog I think it would still be worth it. I think having this record is a way to preserve feelings of love and happiness (we can always use more of that) and a way for my children to have a greater sense of family. I don't know if that makes as much sense outside of my head as it does inside but there it is.
Jack's "100th day of school" poster. Jack came up with this all on his own and was so happy to see his idea on paper! We had fun counting and gluing all those Cheerios and pretzels last night. Jack is a number wiz...the way his brain computes is amazing to me!
Here's to new attempts to keep a better record of this magical (may I add exhausting/trying/exasperating/) time in our family when all 5 of our kids are little and underfoot!
