A few weeks ago we were super lucky and had family in town for Lucy's blessing.
Grandpa Bruce came and did a lot of reading to the kids ( he came with books for each kid!) He read to the kids for hours while he was here! It brought back some wonderful memories of him reading to me as a little girl. He does one mean pirate voice!
He was a human Jungle Gym. Not bad for a man his age...as HE would say!!

And leader of the I Love Lucy fan club. I think the feeling was mutualHe even subjected himself to being the live target in the game of "Smash Crash"
My older, wiser, and "awesomer" sister Anne came to help me in every way. I think Lucy already loves Anne as much as I do.
Anne helped dress Lucy in the same blessing dress that both Anne and I wore when we were blessed as babies.
Adam and his friend Katie came up from NY to join the party. 
We had a great walk/ride to the park on Saturday.
Katie very sweetly showed up with gifts for the girls. Marian was immediately a fan of the purple tutu. She celebrated the acquisition of her newest accessory with a big piece of chocolate. That's my girl!
It meant so much to have family in town for Lucy's blessing.
